It's honestly really lame to call him that, he's one of those musicians that deserves way more praise than he's ever gotten, which I know is a lot to begin with. John Frusciante is soulful to the max and one of the few guitarists that took what Hendrix was doing and ran with it, and honestly understood it. The only thing I didn't like about him was when he shaved his head in 2006

That's typically a problem with metal bands; they often don't have a good sense of dynamics and end up playing sterile-feeling noodlefests.
