Have you listened to any kevin ayers? Daevid Allen of Gong was in Soft Machine with Kevin Ayers, Mike Oldfield, and Robert Wyatt....correct me if im wrong lol

The Flying Teapot is good, Shamal is pretty good, basically the last with Daevid Allen, Continental Circus is an early album by them, i like it, but its a bit different. Like I said, Camembert Electrique is basically perfect. For the record I like You the 2nd most.

Ok, so it wasn't Mike Oldfield, Mike Oldfield was involed in the making of this album though, i believe, with Kevin Ayers, who as i said before, is associated to Gong's Daevid Allen through Soft Machine

HAAAAAAAAAAARE HARE HARE HARE LONDON BUS
First time I remember hearing gong i was prolly like 14 or so. That night I was on a god damn mission to get as high as fucking possible.
Ironically, this was probably also one of the first times smoking by myself.. Not sure what the track or album was but it scared the living shit out of me. From what I remember it opened with a woman screaming, absolutely drenched in reverb. Legit was waiting for a banshee to show herself the rest of the night. 3/10 Would not do again..
But yea, nowadays gong is tight in my book lel 8/10
Saw them twice in the late 90s-early00s. I even met them after their last concert in Chicago. It was an honor to meet and talk to Daevid Allen and Gillie Smith. Not much into them after Daevid left but Gong are cool. Pic featured is one of my favorite albums.
Just picked up Time is the Key on vinyl for less than 5 bucks
It's more new agey than psych, but I still dig
