I'm about to buy new headphones, and I've been recommended the Sennheiser Momentum by a friend- I don't have an amp. Any recommendations?
My price max is ~£250
>headphone
Samson SR950
>earphone
Etymotic HF5
Considering you're looking at getting portable closed backs, I recommend the Beoplay H6 2nd Generations, they're going on Amazon for £239, own a pair and they're pretty stunning quality and looks wise
Or there's the standard recommendation of the ATH-M50x
I got the Sennheiser HD600s while listening through a Schiit Stack.
Seems to be the standard combo for a lot of people out there.
>Headphone
LCD-2 Strong buyer's remorse though. These fucking things look indestructible, but lead a jet-setting lifestyle I ccan only envy. Literally 7 trips back to the US all free and under warranty, but fuck that noise.
>IEM
Using the FiiO EX1. It's a rebranded Dunu Titan with a kevlar reinforced cable. I normal decapitate these fucking things somehow because I vague out and do stupid things when out and about, but these have weathered them all they're great.

I have the M50x because I'm gullible
Honestly how bad are the grado SR80e prestige versions? They seem pretty nice, and kinda cheap
I need a new pair of headphones and I was looking at the DT770 80 ohms. I mostly listen to hip-hop and r&b, are these a good choice for the price range?

I owned a pair of Momentum 1.0s, they were fantastic on-the-go cans. Get the bluetooth versions if you can.

Depends what you listen to and what you like from your headphones. I have a pair of the 325s and they're just fantastic for everything rock or classical.
Dt770 pro 80ohm master race
How do we all feel about these dinosaurs?

I have those and I think they are great for hiphop and rnb, but they are really good for most music 2bh, highly recommend them. I got the fiio a1 amp but it isnt necessary really, but I like the eq it has so I use it all the time. Check amazon since they might be on sale, I got them for 120 bucks.

they're workhorses
>>69216318
everyone says they're great.
I use Sennheiser MX80 because I am poor
I fell for the open back meme

>325s
fuck yes. i wish i could buy one.
Seriously torn between
>Audio Technica ATH-MSR7
and
>Sennheiser Momentum 2 over-ear
If I buy the Momentum and have an android, will there be trouble with the cable?
i bought my current headphones, akg k 350s, at a garage sale for a single dollar. the guy there also threw in these musicland shp-3s that i've yet to use since they seem a lot cheaper and shittier.
>>69213535
I have the HD600s too
Any amp recommendations except for the Schiit?
>>69218658
;---; sorry to hear that.
>>69213429
Are they good lads? I can get them for cheap too
>>69213429
I have the momentum wireless, the sound is good, and the bass is amazing unless you're outside in the wind, but the main downside is the lack of volume, which an amp could fix, but when you're just using your phone or computer, it's lacking. I'm happy with them, but if i could choose again i wouldn't buy them again

This seems like a good deal am i wrong?

Etymotic has by far the best customer service/support of any company I've ever dealt with. Their products are great too. Highly recommended for anyone who is comfortable with high-isolation in-ear phones.
I use the meme Audio Technica ones, would recommend.
Wait for the Massdrop Sennheisers to go on sale again, they're currently the best headphone deal of all time.
Just ordered these after my old ones broke.
Did i fuck up?

Skullcandy Uproar. Got them as a gift and they don't sound awful for £13 but I'm a poorfag so I wouldn't know.
>>69214777
Sound is good especially for the price.
Build quality is terrible though, and they're not very comfortable.
koss portapros

you dont need an amp.

If you like gooey bass go momentums, if you like highs little bass than def the MSR7.
Both great cans.
Pretty great tbqh. They're not super amazing, but they sound pretty good. I also like how modular they are, so if something breaks you could just replace it and not buy a whole new headset. I'm looking to upgrade to hd598's sometime soon though.
I have AIAIAI TMA-1/TMA-2 and Grado SR60. Both are controversial due to being far from neutral and they are the polar opposites sitting on each end of the colored spectrum, but I love them both for specific genres in which they excel.

My dad used to have a pair of late 70s/early 80s vintage. Not the most durable and the earpads were awful. Decent sound though.
has been great for me so far

Fucking love Sol Republic desu
