Noise.
It blows my mind that so many of these noisefags still think their racket is cutting-edge despite it being around for like 40 years and showing pretty much no development since then.
pop punk
Edm
>>69118576
But you could use that argument on anything
>>69119200
Fucking this. The only people who pretend there's a difference are teenage fangirls
Pop Punk
Stadium Country
Pop Rock
Anything that gets consistent radioplay really, with a few exceptions.
All shit posting aside, post-grunge is the answer you're looking for, OP. Nickleback, Creed, Foo Fighters, etc etc
>>69118576
Reggae is responsible for most electronic dance music because of digital dancehall and dub. Not only that but it was important for developing hip hop. And other types of reggae are based on political and protest lyrics.
>>69119174
you're not talking about actually electronic dance music right like house, techno, etc.?
Might as well go with EDM
>>69119918
I'm not this anon, I'm >>69119924 and I mean EDM that is played on Tomorrowland and similar festivals
Vaporwave or any subgenre related to it. For the most part it's people sampling and slowing/pitching down songs and calling it their own.
>>69118126
Beat me to it.
>>69118093
Pop
>>69119866
This really is the best answer. Post-grunge gave us nothing of value. Every other genre listed has at least one good album. Just fucking Creed, Nickelback, Seether, Puddle of Mudd, Hinder and a bunch of other shit teenage girls thought was "the feels" in the early 00s.

I can see why some people would think this in earnest. Rock has kind of solidified as a genre too complex for the pop charts, but not avant-garde to be strictly for the music nerds.
Rock can be experimental and original, unfortunately it isn't popular enough to make musicians want to fuck with the status-quo, but it isn't underground enough to just allow relentless experimentation. It feels a bit dead to me, and even though I find a good amount rock albums that feels unique and fresh, more so than any other genre, it just feels drowned in a sea of mediocrity. Middle of the road indie rock, generic hard rock, and boring crooning pop rock is just so abundant it's ridiculous.
