Mostly pop divas, the more hipster/pretentious ones just worship some alt singers like Bjork or Grimes instead of Britney or Madonna. The "woke" type listen to queercore or some shitty kill all straight people shit.

It's one of my favorite albums. Not only does it hold a lot of nostalgic value for me but it's a well crafted pop album with a cool concept.
majority of people, independent of sex, gender or color, listen to top 40 music
if you ask to random straight white male what he listens to it's high the probability of being radio crap
TR/ST, Beach House, St. Vincent, FKA twigs, Xiu Xiu, Coil, Bjork, Joanna Newsom, Liars, Sophie
Some exclusively listen to bearded folk songwriters. They're bland.
Others subtly dilute avant-stuff with obscure r'n'b. Those are cancer, though generally somewhat attractive.
The interesting fags, I noticed, listen to a lot of ambient-ish and ethereal music. They tend to be low libido loners and think of themselves as "down to earth" despite being a tad snob.

my best friend is gay and he mostly listens to pop stuff, mostly if it has one of them pop divas and stuff. madonna, britney, that kind of thing. we agree on some stuff being cool, like last year's carly rae jepsen or vroom vroom.
from what i've seen i listen to gay people music but i'm not gay
will i become gay? i don't find most men physically attractive

maybe i'm just a special snowflake
I listen to older house music(Mr Fingers - Can You feel it, Ron Trent - Altered States), Bjork, some 60's music(the generic stuff like The Zombie's - She's not there, Simon and Gerfunkel - The Sound of Silence, The Animals - House of the Rising sun, Mamas and Papas -California Dreamin', and The Small Faces - Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake), also listen HiNRG(Donna Summers - I feel love, New Order - Blue Monday, music ). I listen to some 2000's and early 10's dance pop songs but only because I appreciate the production.

Ultimate pleb thread

I'm gay and I'm pretty into this
>>69105033
its your sexual orientation that has to do with the music taste gay boy
>>69104965
idk i guess some people prefer certains aesthetics over others and that i just happen to like stuff that has been labeled as "gay" or feminine rather than, i dunno, macho metal music or some shit like that.
and the idea that liking some specific stuff is homo just because it has been associated with gay people is stupid and though i can tell it's bullshit now, it still feels weird to think "do i really give the impression of being gay?" or to explain that i'm not. just goes to show how the opinions of other affect what we do, really
>>69105120
always nice to see straightanons realize how stupid masculinity is
>>69105299
been realizing it a little bit more and more for a time now. it didn't bother me so much before but it really makes me uncomfortable how some people try to appear masculine all the time, like the guys who are all the time saying "dude i would really bang this chick" or "did you see that ass?" when a girl passes next to you on the street.
just seems like a really sad way to seek approval and show the rest that you "get" what being A Man is about. and if it isn't for approval then the other explanation i can come up is that reducing women to just "big butts" and "huge tits" is what sexuality is all about for some people, and that is even more depressing. like you can like a girl you saw on a train and find her cute, but to be all about how good it would be to fuck her and to tell others about that is just degrading and unnecessary.
>>69104700
what does it mean?
anyway i don't think there is any specific music gay people listen, besides the gay following some pop divas have

>You and I both know there's no such thing
why?
I like how I legit posted my last.fm and pasteyourtaste to show what a gay person actually listens to, but no one is concerned with the truth. Well, also to be honest I have very strange sexual preferences, where I prefer guys but I also prefer guys who aren't masculine. Not like trans women, that's completely different, just guys who aren't masculine but still have male traits, they haven't transitioned to female. Like, femboys I guess you could say. My attraction to females is there too, I suppose, but I guess I am more attracted to males. The sort of person I am attracted to is very rare though, let alone a person who shares my philosophy of life, which is a very small, small, small community of people on planet earth. Not to mention my taste in music. That's because I'm smart, and to be honest I think I'm one of the smartest people in this world, I just have better reasoning.
I like stuff that would be considered stereotypical like Abba, Kate Bush, Joanna Newsom, Pet Shop Boys, The Smiths, you could probably just name it. But mostly its just music that I like. Last few artists I listened to were Klaus Schulze, Boards of Canada, Elliott Smith, Mission of Burma, and The Fall. Also, I'm bisexual so OP may disqualify me from this.
>>69105858
Similar. I'm vastly better at thinking about deep abstract things.

"I had spent the better part of a year sometime in the early 1970s dealing with a bit of depression. My best friend was an old piano that could not be moved into the studio because it was too heavy, so the two of us sat together in the warehouse next to the studio.
Meet The Residents had been a complete bomb, garnering nothing that would suggest there was reason to record more albums. I was dealing with accepting being gay and feared that it would tear me away from friends and family.
So I wrote and recorded somber melodies. In time, those melodies became the basis of the album, Not Available. It remains a somber reminder of those times to me."
Well here's my top 6 because I can't decide over two of the artists here.
Radiohead
Autechre
Imogen Heap
Deftones
Aosoth
Dalek
Can someone tell me why some straights have this idea in their mind that gay people are only interested in "gay" things etc?
I can't even phrase that well enough to get what I'm trying to say across but fuck its almost 2017 i'm tired of the facetiousness.

Also, between working with Matmos and Arca she could be seen as a fag hag, although
>Danny: Is Björk a faghag?
>Drew: You know, not really. Björk is modest about sexual things in a way that struck me as quite Icelandic, and not faghaggy at all.
I mean, she has some friends that are super-gay, some like stylist friends and outrageous drag queeny types. But Björk doesn’t have that kind of potty-mouth thing that I think is definitely part of the faghag, you know, identity.
>Martin: It’s part of the two of us evidently.
>Drew: Yeah. I could tell sometimes that we were embarrassing her a little bit with our frankness—which is strange because some of her lyrics are very direct about sexual stuff.
Gay or straight, having static taste is boring
With that in mind though, I listen to a lot of dark ambient-ish music (Ben Frost, The Hazan Cloak, Lustmord, Demdike Stare), easy-mode jazz (think Grant Green or Herbie Hancock more than Coltrane) and glitch-y IDM (Cyclo, Autechre) right now while my BF listens to Carly Rae Jepsen, Beyoncé, Coldplay, and Niki Minaj.
We both like classical, but he hates Bach which is kind of annoying

Gay men listen post-hardcore
Disco related stuff. of Montreal, Scissor Sisters, Cher etc.
