For about a year now I've been trying to get into GSYBE, but I can never really do it. Is there an album I should start with? All I've really been doing is listening to songs on YouTube, but should I just download a specific album and scrobble it all the way through?
you'll soon come to find that lots of artists have discographies that don't lend well for single track listening experiences.
pretty much every GY!BE album is meant to be listened to front to back, as a single flowing song.
listen, in order:
Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada
F A ∞
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
the rest of their albums arent worth listening to
Alright, thanks guys!

Yanqui U.X.O has some really great moments, though.

Don't listen to this guy, they're all worth listening to.
Listen to LYSF first, and then do the rest from the beginning. This is what I did and they've been my favorite band for 6+ years now.
Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada is the perfect project to start with. Moya is a text-book definition GY!BE song. If you don't like Slow Riot, then maybe Godspeed isn't for you, which is fine.
they're boring as fuck unless you're into corny manipulative crescendo bollocks
if you've been trying for a year, why are you still?

Yanqui U.X.O. is 10/10 you fuck.

Because I know that they are extremely praised and respected by music fans.

The first step to liking them OP is to become suicidal
Go and fuck up your life a bit then try listening to them

Download F sharp A sharp infinity in its entirety and listen to it from start to finish. GYBE albums are an experience and listening to individual songs doesn't really help t b h
