Skrillex is by far the best producer of electronic music. Why? Just listen. Scatta off his first album is light years ahead of anything anyone else has ever done. Listen to the intricacy of the wub wubs. They have so much texture. It's very colorful. Anything under the title "dubstep" I've ever heard has very bland wobbles with no texture or color. You can tell Skrillex has experience with actual musical instruments.

No. You don't understand. It's extremely easy to recreate 99% of the electronic music I've ever heard in my entire life. There is a reason why it's popular, it's easy. Playing Paganini's 5th caprice on expert mode is hard. Adjustinf the cutoff frequency of a x3osc bass synthesizer and throwing a filter on it and a few notes in the piano roll is extremely breezy to accomplish. Skrillex is doing so much more with his bass. It must have taken him forever to program the bass on his scary monsters album. Nobody else is on his level. His level is its own thing.

When you don't hear a musical or an artistic idea recreated you know it has some value.
