My dad's "dad rock" is bands like the jesus lizard, swans, minutemen, shellac, melvins, slint, volcano suns, cows, the birthday party, etc. He is into a bit noisier bands, and I attribute this to him being a fan jazz and avant garde music before he was into rock. So I guess I'm a dad rock fan.
