There needs to be a modern day movement similar to the avante garde movement of the 60's-70's. I feel as though something like that would be amazing because of how easy it is for people to make music now a days and we're not as limited technology wise.

anyway there's a growing gay industrial scene that mixes reggaton and 00s pop thats growing atm.
but the issue with rock dying is that they take too long inbetween albums to release material compared to hip hop or experimental electronic.

I mean Swans are just bringing new ways to play rock to the table. You don't NEED to make your songs 20+ minutes. I guess that is true because of how small the average person's attention span is now. They need constant reminders or else they forget about everything and move on.

I think these upcoming rock acts are gonna need to copy mac demarco. he usually gives his fans demos after he releases an album to hide them tight until the next one. or at least interact with their fans like michael does on FB
