>>69034581
Why not just install soulseek?
>>69034639
Well, long story short, I only have internet in my smartphone.
>>69034702
ahhh, I would slap it up on zippyshare but don't have it on this computer 'fraid
I'm still on my quest...
>>69034129
all the ones on the right, although I'm not familiar with all of Aretha Franklin's output

sometimes very interesting, but rarely are the albums consistent, at least not enough to justify the stupid prices they can reach. japs should have stick to maxis as far as I'm concerned
pic related is a prime example, with, out of ten tracks, one that's excellent and the nine others that you can throw away, yet the album will cost you like $80 at best
Cosmos - Midnight shuffle :

Its alright, not really my taste desu
Thoughts on the new Smoove + Turrell?
As a fanboy, can still admit I wasn't super impressed, well thats not fair, it just hasn't grabbed me as much as Broken Toys and especially Antique Soul.
Also thought not tripping when making these generals might help all the trip-hating anons not filter or ignore it but looks like its just the 5 of us, always and forever.
>>69035556
only listened to it once, as I did with the rest of their discog when you posted it some times ago, so I wouldn't tell if it's better or not. I should probably give their stuff more attention n order to have a more precise insight and to know if I should order some of their albums
The new Funky drive band is HOT AS SHIT however, I can't believe I slept on it this long (it was released in february). thankfully there were still copies for sale when I became aware of it. best clip I saw in a long time, too

this is nicely soulful, but shouldn't samba related stuff be more appropriate for /trad/ than /groove/ ? (please note that I'm talking out of my ass as I'm not familiar with brazilian music other than for some jazz and boogie records)

nice ! I don't know why but I only have their first two albums and the Magic touch 12" for years, while the rest of their discog looks very worth it and is dirt cheap
there's some cool stuff to dig out of the UK scene

Yeah, I guess you're right. Here is a song that may fit this thread better.
Two versions of Djavan's Samurai. The first one is a cover I think is superior to the original. The second is the original version with a Stevie Wonder harmonica solo:

Is Neo-Soul closer to funk and r&b or closer to hip hop?
Is stuff like Todd Terje closer to disco or electro?
Interested in yalls opinions
>>69036836
Dat fuckin harmonica solo
>>69036994
My harmonica goal is playing that solo someday, when I achieve that I probabily will be an harmonica master.

It depends, neo-soul works in many a genre
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXWVUbM2Nrg
Todd Terje is more nu-disco than electro, assuming you mean electro as in Drexciya or Bambaataa

Neo-soul is kinda experimental soul, they use old inspiration to rehabilitate soul but they use new techniques, jazz inspirations. It's not a defined genre, it's open-minded and we kinda stick anything on the term.
All these fit in neo-soul :
