I feel like he's trying to step over the practice and dedication and just skip right to making good music. It's okay, but it doesn't feel fleshed out or natural in my opinion.

I liked the direction he's taking, but he executed it terribly. The song's written horribly, the production has a lot of technical issues, and his vocals are cringeworthy.
