Niechec - s/t is the clear AOTY for me this year, amazing sound and every song on the album has a purpose.

Gonna use this thread to ask, anyone think the chorus of that recent Shinedown song How Did You Love sounds really similar to the chorus of Dark Necessities by RHCP?

I tuned out for most of this year and didn't know that The Body had an album out because it wasn't on any lists I'd seen, let alone two. Merci.

Stage Four
This has been a bad year for music. Lots of great artists have died, while most living artists have failed to deliver.
Steve Lehman's latest is definitely the most innovative, profound music I have heard this year. Along with John Adams' composition "Scheherazade.2."
In terms of /mu/core though, elseq takes the cake.

The new Jim James album
good year so far
