Scaruffi's writing is nondescript tripe and I'm not sure how this board managed to convince itself that he's actually an important critic or whatever. He's literally just a dude with a website, about as authoritative as the average RYM user.
This board's taste in music criticism is pretty weak in general. I think that a big part of why Fantano is as popular here as he is is because much like most of this board, he not only doesn't know how to review music but he doesn't even really know how to listen to it. It's a mess!
