Great taste, I've been looking for something similar to SA for a while but nothing that quite nails the vibe apart from a few random songs by artists that otherwise don't make those sounds.

Magic Lantern, the band Cameron Stallones was in before creating Sun Araw, is kind of in the same vein but not as good imo.

Yeah his free improv stuff is pretty meh. The tropicalish psych he made that everyone loves is so simple that I feel like he doesn't have anywhere else to go with it and is just trying new directions now.
I also find it pretty interesting that he goes on world tours. Sun Araw is pretty damn small, I'm surprised he's booking gigs throughout Europe, yet I've never heard of him playing live near me and I live right next to Long Beach, where his home studio is.
did anyone listen to his newest collab? thoughts?
