also how do I go into Dominick Fernow/Prurient/etc.? random picks?
Noise is something I want to get into. Currently I like:
>Whitehouse, Hanatarash, Hijokaidan
But I want to listen to more.
Anyone have any good rec's? Please don't say Merzbow.

>bubblegum industrial
how is that """bubblegum"""?

Yellow Swans if you want something a bit more ambient (or Jefre Cantu-Ledesma for even more contemporary ambient noise)
Controlled Bleeding for extended techniques (e.g. found sound etc)
Masonna for all-out harsh sounds
Ramleh for an industrial and classic sound
Some rock bands have experimented with noise or mixed rock-based music with noise: The Body & Full of Hell released an album this year which incorporates noise, Sonic Youth did a record called "Silver Session" which is feedback-driven noise, Fushitsusha get loud enough to be called noise sometimes.

also seriously if you completely avoid Merzbow you will be missing out

Start with Frozen Niagara Falls, it has a variety of different styles (noise and power electronics but also ambient synth stuff). Pleasure Ground is his best imo. Arrowhead and History of Aids are also essential.

start anywhere, fernow is a big advocate of a random-access approach to discographies and genres.
