This is a quote I'd expect to see on a bimbo's instagram page or a "deep" 15 year old's bedroom wall.
Honestly, I don't see why you're self-imposing yourself as the chart tread socialite, responding to everyone as if you could give them a bit of your "musical wisdom", haha "GrimesCuck", very amusing, très ironic mon cher, HOW VERY SELF-AWARE OF YOU.

What? They're in your other favourites?

You're taste is fine, I enjoy most of it, but you have absolutely no viability for being pretentious when your pop rock is another 5 years older than mine

Is there something you wanna talk about, theo? I've never even done anything to spite you in the past. I thought we had agreed to disagree about each other's music tastes. I'm sorry that paraphrasing Ghandi isn't obscure enough for you. I'm social on here to compensate for the fact that I'm not social anywhere else. I don't have a sense of musical enlightenment, I'm actually quite modest. I'm not one of the pretentious pricks to come on here calling everyone uneducated plebs or deeming others unworthy of receiving recs.
>>68964668
I'm not even quite sure what your point is anymore.

>>
>>68964887
That's the spirit. I didn't mean to be critical towards you. I know where you're coming from, but at the same time, I don't blame people for not frequenting /chart/ anymore. It must get tedious for some. I still enjoy posting here. I give and receive cool recs every time I post here. It's enjoyable. More unfamiliar charts pop up here all the time too. They're new and they actually need recs. The more we understand that, the more likely they are to stick around.

Maybe I'm too nice for this board.
>>
>>68964960
It literally defeats the point of /chart/ for people to not give recs.
>>
>>68964999
the point is to post charts

I like taking time on recs when I'm in chart threads because normally is generates discussion.
The Books are incredible, and I'm glad you dig what you've heard. Also check out Lost and Safe and Thought for Food. Their last album, The Way Out, is pretty good, but incredible divisive. Some people love it, some hate it.
Also Zammuto's solo albums are incredible in their own right. Both Zammuto and Anchor are good but I prefer the s/t.
Also the other guy from the Books, Paul de Jong, has a solo album that's worth checking out but it's not quite as good as Zammuto's.

Good shit for keeping it alive, guys.

>You seem to like stuff that has a big bombastic sound
Wow, I... don't think I quite made this connection before, but absolutely. I thought it was just my appeal towards musical ambition, but that makes total sense. Sigur Ros would be pumping out masterpieces if it weren't for those unnecessary vocals.
>Definitely listen to My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky and Titus Andronicus
I've heard everything from all of Gira's bands and his solo stuff.
Titus is pretty good too.

I want to rec people shit. One second...

I like a lot of extremely non-patrician artists from my youth, they just kinda stuck with me. No matter the "quality" of the music (which is entirely subjective), they have one thing going very strongly for them: distinction. They just sound very memorable dispite their simplicity, and at the end of the day that's a very important factor in my book. But anywho I'll check out the secret, never heard of them, thanks anon.

Hey, post-rock guy.
I know your hatred for Grimes has made it hard for you to take me seriously. We don't have to fight. Listen to the new Alcest record and let's be cool.

Grimes is not the worst and I own Kate Bush's first 5 records on vinyl. Why not both, anon?

I've seen that Grouper album a lot over the last few days, thoughts on it? Saving your chart, by the way. Good shit on here, there's bound to be more.
Try out The End of the Ocean- In Excelsis

>>68970698
I honestly haven't listened to enough stuff on your chart to know what to suggest.

>>68971031
>>68971347
Try basically anything on my chart. If you like titus, mewithoutYou's more hardcore stuff might be up your alley, especially Pale Horses.

>>68970339
Already heard it but hey it's a solid album so it's not like your rec was bad

I've seen this band talked about fairly often, yet I've never sought out to listen to them. Decent. Slightly getting The Dear Hunter vibes, but these vocals are pretty... meh. I might get used to them.
