Fly Trapped in a Jar is underrated too.

Yeah it's often as good as their early stuff in its own right, it just sounds nothing like it.

Best album they did post-M&A, has more creative focus than Strangers or Good News, great guitar from Johnny Marr and some career highlights

Yes, if only for Parting of the Sensory and Spitting Venom.
I agree the album got more poppy than their early stuff, but there really are some standout tracks, and the album as a whole is still solid.
You won't be disappointed.
