I lrealy love The Wire, but songs are so damn short!
Working through a breakup so this album hits home on a lot of levels. It was my AOTY 2015 and it looks like it's finally getting some recognition from /mu/ which is cool.

>I lrealy love The Wire

any recs on something similar?
>>68958979
Whats your favourite song off entertainment?
I think pic related is severely underrated, Im really loving this album

>>68958727
But that's the worst of the trilogy...and even then, only Chairs Missing is on the level of Cupol, B.C. Gilbert & Lewis, Dome, etc.
just curious, has anyone else here listened to it
if so what did you think of it
>>68959089
That’s just like, your opinion, man.
>>68958979
>but songs are so damn short!
Listen to something else than Pink Flag then, pleb.
>>68959089
Not a chance, m8. 154 is the masterpiece album that combines the witty fun of early Wire with dark experimentation of Dome & c:o, it's the best of both worlds.
>>68959289
I wasn't suggesting 154 was bad, just Chairs Missing is the album I go to if I want Wire and the side-projects are what I go to if I want 154-tier music
>>68958979
Fucking love that album, good taste dude.
those melodies, that voice
>>68959045
Their earlier album Lesser Matters laid the groundwork for Clinging to a Scheme, so you might like that.
Otherwise Diiv is close-ish.
>>68958727
I love this album so fucking much

I AM A FLY UPON THE WALL
This is my favorite
tedy is the realest nigga in the game and everyone know it
>>68960096
great hook
dis shit right here desu senpai
idc if it isn't as groundbreaking as other 'weird frontier' meme albums, but Mutant themes moved me during difficult times (that's why it's an important album for me), and I think it's highly emotional & has heartbreaking melodies.
>>68959045
their other albums.
and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
>>68960307

>>68960484

Not even Can's best but still an acceptable choice
This album blew my mind.
Orchid was there in my senior year of high school when no one else was.
>>68958727
I love this album, OP. Best of the 70s after Serge Gainsbourgs Melody Nelson
>>68958727
Wire's next two LPs are so much better than this one. If you haven't heard them yet, you are in for a treat.
>>68958979
>The Wire
>>68959045
Air France, Badly Drawn Boy
>>68959073
Throwback.
>>68960001
It's probably my favorite album ever. Absolute perfection.
>>68960080
Excited for this one. I love XTC.
>>68960256
Meh, I've listened to 90% of Arca's stuff so I got kinda burnt out on his one-trick pony style. Good album though.

>>68963327
Obviously great albums.
>>68963435
I enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would.
This isn't anywhere near my favorite album but it was a lot of fun and I know /mu/ gets a stiffy from Memphis rap.
>>68960001
A good album overall but it didn't stuck to me as much as Kid A
>>68960307
Good shit, solid rift/drummin

>>68965595
the best flaming lips imo, i couldnt really get into their other stuff but this blew me away.
>>68963435
I'm so glad I found this album. I went through a horrible break up not long ago, and, in a strange way, this (and a bunch of other screamo stuff I found after) helped me.
posting the most based punk
