How is /mu/ not at all excited for this? Midnight Marauders and The Low End Theory are both /hip-hop/ essentials.

I have pretty high expectations for this one. It's been 18 years so they better end it off with a bang since this is their final album.

I have a good feeling about this one
cause hip hop discussion on mu always sucks and is fraught with trolling
that's why mhhg died
Anyone else not feeling the title of this album?

It's not just you, the title is fucking stupid.

It's very similar in spirit to the latest De La Soul release, but not was well done, plus now it's unoriginal. But I still have high hopes for it.
im so fucking excited but im afraid ill be let down

It cant be worse than the Last Movement, and Tip still has bars when he pops up on songs nowadays, so I have some hope.
they're old and probably don't rap regularly anymore so it's probably gonna bad compared to their other stuff

I thought it was called the Love Movement
i enjoyed it t b h

I liked Dilla's/Ummah's production on it. But flow wise it felt like total filler. But at that point they were tired of doing it. With the huge break they took Im sure they'll have a lot to say now.

Yup, all the comeback albums of this decade have been shit. This will be no exception.

Wildflower actually WAS shit though

You're right, the great production is what attracts me to it. I mainly listen to beat-centered music like techno/house so i don't really pay attention to the lyrics in hip-hop anyway.
