Description:
Eric Taxxon's new album Copy is equivocal to the creation of Frankenstein. A creation made of bits and pieces of other former creations, used to create a deliberate feeling of intrigue, interest, and even in some cases, horror. Copy is that Frankenstein, in which pieces are constructed, produced, and heavily edited in mere audacity files, in order to create one massive being all together.
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And Eric give some love. Thank You. :)

Nice covers. Music has an odd atmosphere to it, mixed like you're hearing it coming from inside a shed in the middle of the country from a hundred feet away.
>>68925591
Was expecting animal collective worship, this is pretty different. Interesting surf rock vibes. Surprisingly good vocals too. Would like some bits to have less reverb, thats kind of a played out sound.
>>68925704
Interesting. Haven't heard shoegaze that's made me say that for a long time. I'd love for you to find a vocalist and glitch out together.

What is the best software for recording vocals and guitar simultaneously? A lot to ask of a programme but it's the only way I feel comfortable recording. People have told me to record stuff and put it online but I haven't found good enough software to let me do both.

listened to "sin título - uno". crisp at the beginning and muddy at the end, a nice spectrum of sounds. A little too repetitive at some points, but the sound is great overall.
>>68927494
Sorry for the delay man. Was trying to get something done, but finally said fuck it, and deleted everything from Ableton. It's been happening since I did sin titulo - uno.
The harsh noise in the beginning of Diary fucked me up, but it's cool. I like your style, it's like a collage of sounds. Not my kind of genre, but it seems like a fun experimentation, specially for me, since I'm trying to add some sampling to my stuff.
While the thematic of Copy bases on disorder to create intrigue, I like how January takes a more minimalistic approach to the noise. It seems like the beginning and the making of an electronic world, and its collapse. Would love to watch a live performance of your stuff.
>>68927874
I didn't make January, jacob and friends is a label i'm on.

As a huge fan of the sound of Twin Fantasy and the early Wavves stuff, I like your style. Good cohesion, lo-fi that gets the idea (lo-fi ≠ shit) and a simple, yet cool soundbank. I would recommend to play a little bit with reverbs, just a tiny bit, not enough to drown the whole mix, but something in the way of Stop Smoking or My Boy. Nice voice by the way, anon.
>>68926248
multitracking.
you can use the stereo inputs hard pan each channel.. vocals left, guitar right.
record a stereo track, and then split it into 2 mono tracks. bam you got an isolated guitar and vocal tracks. might sound funny to record things hearing different shit in left/right ears... the real trick is to route a separate mix for monitoring as you record it...
anyways if you are willing to configure the shit and possibly even read manuals, all you need is one of those focusrite scarlett things (with as many input/output channles as youd like) and then a program like reaper will do it just fine
>>68927926
My bad, was just trying to listen to everything from there so I could give you some nice feedback. Also, forgot to mention that your stuff reminds me of the classic fanzines.

>>68927674
I'm not good at giving feedback to harsh noise and black metal stuff, but I would suggest trying a little bit on the aesthethic (I know it's a pretentious word) of your project. I feel like that image, and those colours and font are kind of old for what you're doing. Take for example, if you don't mind, Lithurgy's Aesthethica. Sorry if it seems kind of harsh.
---------------
>>68926248
Personally, I use Ableton, although, everything can do the trick, as long as you know how to use it. What gear do you have? If you have an interface, like a 2i2, you're ready to go.
----------
>>68925162
I remember listening to your stuff from an earlier bandcamp thread. It sounds like Big Black, in a cassette slowly destroying itself. Nice.
------------
>>68924748
Your project is solid. Rock solid. When I saw these tags, I knew I would like it. Love the drums, remind me of Joy Division (obviously, Post-Punk) and it has like this The Smiths vibe. Really good. Wish I hadn't run out of Paypal money.
------------

How do you feel about the music though, could be better or it all good
>yesterday five different albums of mine were each downloaded exactly twice and nothing else
this happen to anyone else?
>>68928292
It's not my kind of stuff, to be honest. I feel like it's way too much disorder, and way too much layers of noise. Although it would be nice to have lyrics in the page. They're always interesting to read.
>>68924766
Alot of layered effects and sampling, the LP2 track was made by triggering the samples and slowly manipulating delay, reverb and things. The issue is to make it sound good, but not completely drown the audio blowing out the bass.
>>68928425

Working on either an EP or album (don't know yet), still looking for some harsh feedback on this though.
https://theglasstapes.bandcamp.com/album/alien-woods-alien-love
>ambient, neo-psych, tribal ambient, bedroom folk
First thing I've done with a synth that I'm proud of. The first part is a b-side intro t of the neo-psych thing i'm doing, which is itself partly ambient, like the track on this
https://theglasstapes.bandcamp.com/album/elephant-seal
>psych folk (at points), bedroom folk, cozy
>listen to it on walks through the autumn woods
I've been promising more music for a while, but I've got a case of "start but never finish" if you know what I'm saying
But now, I've got a band, and we're working on a dreamy psych/free-ish folk thing, we're in the midst of some songwriting session
And I'm also working on a solo, which is kind of just stuff that I had laying around, but also new stuff. It's gonna be three parts. First part folk, second part drone/ambient pop with revrbed out vocals and guitars, third part neo-psych/psych pop. The psych pop part is the one I'm most ambitious about. It's pretty much what imagine the traditional music of aliens to sound like, and I'm using everything I've learned in my traditional drum ensemble (the only drum on it is a djembe), and that I've learned through using my synth. Lets just hope I finish it
>>68930682
Not bad, I like the percussion and layered vocals on Purpose. Pretty cool
>>68930607
Nice voice, there's power behind it. I liked the synth solo at ~2 minutes
