They fell off desu
They peaked at Pastel and Pass Out, which is a masterpiece

That's a good one, I listened to the hell out of it back in 2013.

Anyone have any dream pop recommendations like Cocteau Twins or The Sundays? Just started listening to The Sundays and they're pretty based.

I've listened to eureka more than 10 times and their other releases about 5-6 times. The only track that really stands out is that sad one from eureka. They're not bad but it's nothing truly memorable imo. I don't even feel like listening to their new album.

>>68927879
they aren't transphobic, just the guy who ran their twitter besides. They started off by calling gloss out for being cunts because they wouldn't allow certain people at their show. It's too bad this blew out of proportion. It gave a lot of attention to some dumbass punk band who didn't deserve it and disbanded a year later. So we lost Whirr, one of the best shugazi from the 2010s for a random band who lasted a year of so...

Real talk now: Distressor was amazing, the rest of their albums wasn't that great or interesting. They lost a lot when they lost the female voice. Their later albums are okay, but most of them could be EPs in terms of actually good songs.
They're not transphobic, the internet community around them is PC to a toxic degree though and lusts for any drama they can get, so of course they'd blow up a few tweets of some dude.
GLOSS are a entirely forgettable hardcore band that is exclusively getting attention for being trans. Fuck them and fuck the kind of society that puts identity over art, musicianship and creativity.

I think that's everything, right?

I'm so close to saying this is better than Loveless.

spot on, famalamadingdong.
Hell, even Diiv had their share of social media controversy. Their bassist posted on 4chan and used words like bitch and nigger. They recovered 100% from this. I wish it could be the same for Whirr.

I really like the final 2 songs. wonder 2 is up there for one of my favorite mbv songs tbqh. The middle sections of the album is kinda filler for me.

Hey guys,
Finally got around to indexing, compressing, and uploading everything I've got that's Japanese and vaguely shoegaze/dream pop/noise rock related

https://mega.nz/#F!hAcjBKiD!nshFvCA8bOxjA2vcl6Gulw

There's the MEGA link, everything's sorted by artist and there's individual .zip files for each album inside

Go nuts
>>
>>68971287
are you literally retarded? it's name your price, the tote bag and cassette are ÂŁ4

>>68971825
Also yeah, if any links go down let me know for sure
>>
>>68924499
That wasn't great, but it sure was enjoyable.
>>
>>68927311
Did you guys know everything on there?

I think i knew about half, allthough i could have predicted the top 10.
Shoegaze isn't my main interest, so i picked some stuff up out of the list. But then again there was some stuff i gave a try that i disliked.

I'm glad i got to know Autolux and Starflyer59
>>
>>68935706
Drown yourself in scotch, Loveless and blankets. Should be fun.
>>
>>68936614
Cold Body Radiaton, some of the Lantlos stuff, Les Discrets and GROW UP and listen to deafheaven already.
>>
>>68971765
you are right sorry
>>
>>68972343

I knew about half as well. It's a weird list though. I don't understand why Quique is considered shoegaze for example.
>>
>>68947114

Very nice, thank you. I recommend everyone download that re;mo album, it's criminally underrated.
>>
>>68978764
it was a good album admittedly but i still dont really dig the vocaloid
>>
>>68978830

Really? I thought they integrated it pretty well into the mix compared to other vocaloid shoegaze like Wintermute, in most of the songs you can barely even tell it's a synth unless you're actively looking for the signs. Different strokes I guess.

>>
>>68978982
It's better than other vocaloid shoegaze and it's mixed great. There's just still something about a real voice. Same reason I listen to shoegaze instead of electronic. I went somebody playing on an actual instrument even if it's covered in effects. Same with vocals i guess. You're right that it barely sounds like vocaloid but there's still a bit of an uncanny valley effect with the voice.
>>
>>68979006
Pretty good anon, goddamn.

Thanks, I'll listen to more of them on spotify
