Not him, but I didn't like Danse, but when you really start to feel that jingly sparkly production, it starts to be really engrossing. Plus Essplose and Meet the Light Child are GOAT tracks

What I don't get is why he has HCTI last, and despite having Danse so high, has HCTI (aka Dance live) so low

Panda said he's mostly focused on his solo project these days so most of his effort will probably go to that, but they're not writing off another Animal Collective album or something. Sounds bleak. It makes sense though, he seemed pretty detached on Painting With. Actually the them of the album seemed to be detachment, and everyone there sounds pretty emotionally disengaged.
