Why the fuck do normies only like hip hop? I like hip hop but I like other stuff too.

most accessible thing to find
I've never met anyone who only like one genre.
Even mega normies like a bit more than just one.

Is that Ranma?
I finally accepted that I don't like hip hop. Which is weird, because this is also probably the point at which I most respect hip hop and the talent of people like Danny Brown and Aesop Rock, but I just find it much less appealing and personally valuable than genres I like more, like punk rock (and related things like jangle pop, emocore, and goth) and bebop jazz (especially post-bop stuff).
Of course, this also coincides with the end of my social life. I haven't actually enjoyed my self at a party since the 4th of July

I respect hip-hop but find most of it less accessible than free jazz

In my experience it's more about liking entry-level stuff than genre in particular. It's just that hip hop is one of the most prevalent genres now.
Oh boy so this is what my sister watched when I was a lad?!?

yea, it's just the most popular genre rn. With a surge in the popularity of black culture it has become the only acceptable thing to play publicly. All genre's with non-digital instruments will be lynched at a large enough social gathering. Learn to accept hip-hop or wish you were listening to different music for the rest of your life.

never have I read a post that screamed "I'm 15" as loudly as this one

>normies only like hip hop
That's wrong, though. 'Normies' listen exclusively to middle of the road rock music like Rise Against, Travis, Stereophonics, Vampire Weekend, Mumford & Sons and so on.
