If you've heard any other neo-soul album ever you'll realize how homogenous this record really is. It's compotently made and has some good songs but there's hardly any reason to listen to Solange over Jill Scott or Erykah Badu. The former of which can do this kind of music much better and the latter actually having a lot of unique instrumentation in the sphere of neo-soul while still writing memorable pop songs.
