can someone explain to me why the second half is god tier? codex and give up the ghost are boring generic indie songs, i really don't get it. i love the rest of the record but it loses all of its momentum after lotus flower. separator is a redeeming enough closer to make me sit through those two boring songs most of the time though.

imagine if codex and give up the ghost were replaced by the butcher and supercollider? or the daily mail and staircase? it'd be a 10/10 for me desu
