I used to think this. On the first few listens it was mindblowing, out of this world glitch-shoegaze pop love.

But there are a few songs and moments that drag a bit, and some of it's "Cohesiveness" feels forced.

I've definitely listened to a lot of original AND "obscure/lesser known" releases. Recognize the difference between Original and Obsure, they shouldn't even be relative. That being said, I believe the records I posted are the most captivating and era-defining releases of the decade. Feel free to insult me, but my opinion is correct nevertheless

If you assume everything P4k likes is bad, then they aren't the ignorant ones, you are! Wildflower, for example, is my album of the year. It was before the review was released, so does that make me a P4k junkie? I hate pitchfork, but they give some albums that deserve acclaim the proper respect they had earned. None of those albums bring anything new to the table. Joanna Newsom is not the first Harpist and The Avalanches are not the first to make an album consisting of samples. None of those albums are exactly the peak of said genre either, if you catch my drift.
Just because you happen to agree with his list filled with boring derivative albums, doesn't make it any better. You're the one who's opinion should not be taken seriously.

There's a lot of strong contenders, obviously. I wasn't blown away by V:D:C, but then again, it's really not my thing. One could definitely argue for Fleet Foxes, In Rainbows, MPP, and hundreds of other albums. Many of them also had a lot more influence in the decade they were released, which would give many albums a distinct advantage over V:D:C.
