it's really a shame how autistic the fanbase for that game is, and how it prevents a lot of people from even giving it a chance, because it really is an amazing game with a 10/10 soundtrack. if you don't spoil it for yourself and you don't pay attention to the spergs who jack off to the characters all day, it will be an awesome and emotional experience.

I didn't pay any attention to it when it came out, but recently I heard some of the soundtrack and I decided to play it. It really is a good game in every aspect and I loved it.


then I found the fanbase.

I was lucky enough to know absolutely nothing about the fanbase before playing it. I actually didn't know anything about it before playing, I went in completely blind. It was recommended to me by a friend. I still love it and I've done like five or six playthroughs now. The only sucky thing is that it's so short and even though it's not 100% linear, you still do a lot of the same stuff in every playthrough so it gets to a point where you kinda feel like you've done everything, assuming you do all the different kinds of playthroughs (neutral, pacifist and genocide). But I do feel like every time I play it I discover something new.

It's really not a game that you're meant to sink hundreds of hours into, it's more like something that you just play every once in a while but it's really powerful when you do play.

this game and it's soundtrack has given me more of a rush than any game before it. I sadly don't own it but honestly miss it dearly, makes me feel like a coked out serial murderer taking a holiday in hell

Are you fucking kidding me? The new doom was repetitive bullshit, it used the same tracks over and over again for every single level. It feels like it only has 10 tracks. I just listen to black, thrash, or death metal when I play it. And yeah the music itself is just ambient or heavy dubstep.

I've just been thinking about this today and I think this is my favorite video game soundtrack of all time. It's not very demanding, epic or ambitious but it has so much charm and personality. And its the only vidya soundtrack that gets repeated listens like every week or so
