Good luck with that, I've been looking for decent sample-based post-rock for years.

the only song i like by them is A Kids World. The rest seems a little random and incoherent. Am I missing something?

>the only song i like by them is A Kids World.
Don't feel too bad, it's a great song.
>The rest seems a little random and incoherent
Random no, incoherent maybe. If an analogy had to be drawn, you could consider DI Go Pop analogous to The Olivia Tremor Control's Black Foliage whereas Technicolor runs parallel to Dusk At Cubist Castle. In Technicolor the samples are used mostly to accent the songwriting and provide a rhythmic complexity / layering while DI Go Pop uses the samples as the backbone of the track itself. The former shows off their ability to make authentically catchy music with based timbres while the latter is intriguing mostly due to the atypical sound and structuring of the tracks themselves, while also chancing upon some really beautiful moments.
Examples -
https://youtu.be/KMR0QG4MuIA the buildup starting around a minute in and resolving in a whistle complementing the main rhythm
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlPBextKRYE the skid-on-a-court sample being stretched into a rhythm which supports the guitar / synth work and the "one two" hook at around 1:50 in which leads to the change-up where the skid is supporting more layers of guitar and samples.
Don't sweat if it's not your thing, there's plenty of less abrasive music out there.

I've heard the first song and like that one too.
Damn Technicolor is very different. I like the song you linked a lot, I'm gonna listen to that album tomorrow. Are there any specific tracks I should listen up for?

There's more but if I shared all of the ones I adore I would end up posting most of the album.
You might also benefit from listening to The 5 Eps as it does a good job of showing the band develop.

DI Go Pop gets a lot of attention here because it shows off their more unorthodox styles most effectively, but the rest of their output is just as pleasant (if not more so). It's hard to get a grasp for DI Go Pop without listening to the rest of their output for reference.

Cool I threw them on my youtube playlist for work tomorrow. Do you work in a cubicle?
>>68807243
>I threw them on my youtube playlist for work tomorrow.
Over And Over might depress you a bit in that case.
>Do you work in a cubicle?
I'm a caretaker.
>>68807254
Ah I associate this stuff with monotony. Maybe that's monotonous though. I usually don't mind the depressing music
>>68806745
What a bummer.
>>68806745
It might be on of those things. Were if there are similar albums they just come off as copy cats... I dont know th ough
