Note: I'm not suicidal or depressed. This stuff is just really good imo.
Anyways, looking for some artist/album recommendations of the darkest, suicide-coreish albums similar to the ones blow. This is kind of what I like:
1) Closer-Joy Division
2) Pornography-The Cure
3) Spiderland-Slint
4) Pinkerton-Weezer
5) The Lonesome Crowded West-Modest Mouse
Also, not sure if I'm doing it right. This is literally my first post on 4chan as a long time lurker.
Oh, and I also forgot to put in Deathconsciousness and anything Dan Barret/Have a Nice Life
I haven't listened to it in ages but Bauhaus - In the flat field is good
This looks up your alley.
Music isn't that dark but lyrics are (and lyricist killed himself the following year)

Grant Lee Buffalo's "Fuzzy" and "Mighty Joe Moon" albums have some good "sad" stuff. Recommend "Happiness", "Mockingbirds", and "Fuzzy"

I don't know about the lyrics but it has very dark atmophere
All of Xiu Xiu's discography
>>68779518
Also JuJu from Siouxie make my last sadcore list
I've listened to Deathconsciousness over and over lately. It almost feels good to think about killing myself over and over.
Not dark (it's actually Emo/Indie) but the lyrics are about suicide.
"I called in sick from your funeral
The sight of your family made me feel responsible
And I found the notes you left behind
Little hints and helpless cries
Desperate wishing to be over
You said you’re trapped in your body
And getting deeper every day
They diagnosed you born that way
They say it runs in your family
A conscious erasure of working class background
Where despair trickles down
Imbalanced chemical crutch
Open up, swallow down
You said “remember me for me
I need to set my spirit free”"

>1) Closer-Joy Division
>2) Pornography-The Cure
>3) Spiderland-Slint
>4) Pinkerton-Weezer
>5) The Lonesome Crowded West-Modest Mouse
1,3,4, & 5 are some of my favorite albums of all time and I'm a huge Cure fan I just haven't listened to much past disintegration and three imaginary boys so I guess I best go check out number 2.

Have you heard In Utero?
>>68780045

the queen is dead
WidowMaker, strings on the first part is just
>>68783579
Did you like it
>>68778106
This is one of the darkest albums to listen to
>>68778534
"Songs About Leaving" kills me every time I listen to it, I'm still pissed I couldn't see them live
>>68779527 This is sad core but most of whats being listed here is way different in tone. Xiu Xiu is really agressive experimental pop about suicide. It gives off a way different vibe and feel then something like Carissa's Wierd.
Uaral of Chile
ColdWorld of Germany
Ruins of Beverast
Sovereign of Brasil
Until Death Overtakes Me
