CD's, vinyl, tapes, shirts, everything goes.

Have you listened to A T O M I C? It's fantastically atmospheric.
>>68752803
Didn't listen to it yet, but I heard it's good, that it differs from their usual sound, but in a good way.
>>68752850
It's the only album of theirs I've listened to, could you recommend a good starting point into the rest of their works?

>could you recommend a good starting point into the rest of their works?
Sure. The album most people say is the best is "Young Team", definitely the most popular one.
It's a bit noisy, it has some shoegaze elements, I'd say you should listen to this album first, even though their later releases are different.
My most favourite Mogwai albums are (not in order):
> Young Team (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxZr6u9fT1I)
> Happy Songs for Happy People (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8psR9I1pwg)
> Hardcore will never die, but you will (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDYBEDbzY28)
> Mogwai EP+2 (best non-LP Mogwai release) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8J98ZeS-ME)
> My Father My King (reminds me Mladic by GY!BE) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4WYnSFqh6k)
"Come on die young" and "Rock Action" are albums I listened to only a couple of times each, but they were good.
tl;dr: Young Team > Mogwai EP+2 > Pick whatever

Special moves > their studio albums
Hadn't tried this flavor before. The sweet cream ice cream is really well done, the coconut flakes are a great touch, and the caramel core is perfect. It's like eating a compacted caramel sundae.

posting not so recent purchases

I have the brazilian CD version of AMSP, the sleeve is horizontally longer, matching the dimensions of jewel cases and digipaks, unlike the squared shape of the originals.
I picked up an near mint original press of the first swans EP yesterday for 2 bucks and i'm super happy about it.
the one on the left is the record store day reissue from last year.
most recent purchase

I don't know why they removed the tiny squares on the reissue.
So which one it's the best?
haven't posted in a while so recent purchases from the past 2-3 months. Worked at a vinyl distributor so I had a great discount to get a lot more records than i normally would.
12"s are a Dinosaur L single and I'm Starting to Feel OK Vol. 5 (which has a DJ Sprinkles track on it, which is why i picked it up)

i literally just got it so i'll have to compare how they each sound.
The reissue goes for like 8 bucks now and the original is worth 60-70
I just picked up a copy of demon days on vinyl, super nice even though it costed 10 trillion dollars

isn't it getting repressed soon?
>>68760149
not that anon but this is the reason i'm really weary of picking up original editions these days, made this mistake with The Unicorns vinyl and The Caretaker vinyl
>>68760267
which pressing of The Unicorns did you get and how much was it?
>>68760549
i got the original 2003 black vinyl press for $32 hoping that it would flip for a lot more
but i got it right before the reissue though so other original presses were going for about that on discogs, i think i sold it for no profit which like, shrug
still weary tho
>>68760683
i got the first pressing pink/white marble recently for $80 but unfortunately arrived with a corner bump.
