Before that they had 1 or 2 good songs.

mayhem's music is mostly garbage besides live in leipzig and dawn of the black hearts but theyre definitely the most black metal band when it came to their attitude and the way they presented themselves. black metal wouldnt be as popular without them and they were insanely influential
