Same DD used to be top 5 bowie and recently I've really gone off it.
Maybe its because my mother works out to it

Why anyone likes Diamond Dogs I'll never know.
Pic related is still good, but it doesn't grab me like it used to. Feels like soft OK Computer.

You never "got" them in the first place.
Any of the super brutal death metal bullshit I used to listen to.

The first half of the album is as good as Ziggy Stardust or Aladdin Sane

Lilac Wine is one of his blander songs.
Forget her, Last Goodbye, Mojo Pin, Dream Brother, his version of Hallelujah. The album is amazing.

I distinctively remember crying to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, particularly around the opener, Radio Cure, and Poor Places. I acknowledge that YHF got me through some of the hardest moments of my adolescence.
Now it doesn't do nearly as much for me because I changed, and my circumstances changed, and my tastes changed.
But thanks for explaining how I think better than I know myself.
