2 day wed day brak muh hart
>>68712188
>>68712395
this
There's like one other track that's as good as the opening track, the rest of the album is just ambient bullshit. And I like ambient music so I really do mean bullshit.

ADD is some serious shit man
Like thousands of albums from the 50's and 60's including pic related. Can't say I agree with any of the other albums posted yet

All the tracks on label-commissioned 50s album like this are usually equally good, it's just that most r&b artists only made two types of songs, dance songs and ballads. So it all kind of blends together

While that's true, I usually find the opener to not only be the lead single and the most popular song from it, but it's also usually more inspired and better written. Some albums do a good job of straddling the two sounds and keeping it interesting a lot better than others, like pic related

Moon shaped pool
>>68712395
this also
>>68716117
A Moon Shaped Pool doesn't fall apart until after Ful Stop, though, and that's like halfway through.

Hmm, that's probagbly true, I haven't listened to it enough times yet, but I still think that the first song is way above the rest, it really made my hyped for the album, which took a completely different turn though.

I swear to God, Want is probably in my top 10 Cure songs but then Club America happens and I just don't even know anymore. I think it has some other pretty good songs like This Is A Lie, Mint Car and Numb but it's definitely more scattershot than the band already is on an average day.

Glass Eyes is the best song on the album though and the back half does have Present Tense.
>>68716264
I always skip Daydreaming because it's way too fucking lowkey as a second track after Burn the Witch, also it's sandwiched in between that and Decks Dark, so it really pales.
>>68716308
I love the spooky ending of it though.
>>68716294
>Glass Eyes is the best song on the album

Burn The Witch is my second favorite song on the album but thematically it almost feels like its on the wrong album. Sonically it fits but lyrically it's like a setup for HTTT 2 or something, which is fine by me since that's my favorite album of theirs. I don't necessarily hold that against the rest of the album, though.

Social anxiety feels. That track hits me harder than anything else on the album, easily.
>>68716339
It was written around Hail to the Thief, so that makes sense.
>>68716339
Exactly my thoughts, I also find HTTT overally better than MSP even though I'm not really for the message it tries to convey.
