There's too little of it to judge. Most triphop is hardly recognizably "triphop," including Portishead. Massive Attack are still the best at it, really.

essentials and few other artists are worth good for sex and stuff but ultimately not a rewarding genre to explore imo.

Tricky, portishead and massive attack are decent. Bit of a worthless genre though like it didnt really have much variation

love my trip hop, sadly rarely any records released that have that "feel".

from this year i guess HAELOS - full circle kinda was a modern trip hop album that I liked.
