I would say with the exception of a few artists indie rock has to be one of the most uninspired genres out today. Like seriously I don't fucking get it how anyone takes most indie rock bands seriously I'm not really talking about backing tracks Im just talking about lyricism. Does anyone sing about anything else besides the fucking suburbs, capitalism, getting cucked, cigs, youth, drugs, while not being a complete hypocrite? Am I missing all the good indie bands? even the acclaimed artists seem so unintelligent and the fact that people unironically enjoy arcade fire, animal collective and radiohead leads me to believe that this genre is for 12 year olds and people with an iq below 80. Please prove me wrong. Pic related.
