This song in general. The sax solo is still absolutely mesmerizing.

worst song in album imo. Good beginning, but the refrain is anti-climactic, and gets pretty repetitive.

i would say this whole album is made of killer moments
>Jennifer tilted her head to the side curiously. She heard the sound of a rickety-wooden roller-coaster in the distance, it's passengers screaming in mock terror. She knew that sooner or later they would realize that the ride wasn't stopping and they were all going to die.
>sound of girl singing eerily in a sewer
>'cause no one's hurt me more than you
>and no one every will
>>68641762
Agreed, but it does come at the cost of a lack of overall cohesion. Some moments are god-tier, but this album also has borong filler moments
Nevertheless, Tame Impala's next album will be better
>>68641840
yes, the overall cohension wasnt the best thing about it, it sounds like a bunch of singles glued together, it doesnt have the fluidity of lonerism
>>68641840
>Tame Impala's next album
pretty excited desu. Can't wait to see what Kevin has in store next.
>>68641924
were you guys into that kevin parallalel project thingy which i forgot the name? they were the op act for the last shadow puppets american tour right?
>>68641134
>when the track starts skipping in Let It Happen
>>68641872
What are your least favourote tracks on Currents?
>>68641924
I'll be honest, I want Kevin to blend both Innerspeaker and Currents. And some pop hits so he can finally break the mainstream
>>68641468
>GENTLEMAN THAT'S GOING ROUND
>TURNING THE JOINT
>UPSIDE DOWN
Some part of every song.
>>68641986
i hate that the less i know the better doesnt quite blend in with the rest of the songs, tho the song is rather amazing, a moment that i love is that beggining of past life, it always gets me
>>68641974
that part is also amazing
>>68641986
I think Currents scraped the surface of mainstream pop. It was nominated for the Grammy for best Dance album, but was beaten by Skrillex and Diplo.
>>68642027
i particularly think that that "scratching" isnt that bad, tho i think they shouldnt "scratch" again next album, i think they genuinely got into the mainstream because of how simply amazing they can be, both live and recorded
>BOOOONGGGGGGG BONNGGGGGGG BOONNGGGGGG BONNNGGGGGG BAH BONNGGGGGGGG

This exactly. The Less I Know The Better is fucking phenomenal
>>68642027
Wasted Grammy
>it came in my room...it looked at me
Of the new tracks, the one about fucking bigfoot stands out to me but isn't quite as iconic as all the Art Bell stuff.
>>68642183
like almost all other grammies, unfortunately
>>68642027
>currents
>dance album
???
Sgt Pepper's, right after Within You Without You ends, and you're alone with those couple moments of silence. Then When I'm 64 comes on. It's like they're playing a joke with you by being so playful, awesome choice in track listing.
>>68642260
the less i know the better is quite danceable hahahahaha
the bridge and ending of grass stains

I GET DOOOOWN
>>68641986
not who you originally asked, but personally, I find the entire D side just lacking. I also listened to the singles too much before the album came out, so unfortunately, for me, it REALLY is a bunch of singles glued together. It's tracks like Gossip that don't really do anything for the album, or Nangs which was a good idea that he just didn't follow through with. It wasn't a bad album, just definitely not their best.
The crossroad noises at the end of Grand Central, Pt. II (72 Hrs. By Rail From Missouri) just make the song so fucking great

I was talking about the closing track on Viet Cong.

>IS IT A DREAM? IS IT A LIE? I THINK ILL LET YOU DECIDE
gets me every fucking time
Just mooning and blinking
From faces marked with coal
Ash cooling and shrinking
Cracks loud as thunder rollin', I swear
I know you; you know me
Where have we met before? Tell me true:
To whose authority
Do you consign your soul?
I had a dream you came to me
Sayin', you shall not do me harm anymore
And with your knife you evicted my life
From its little lighthouse on the seashore
And I saw that my blood had no bounds
Spreading in a circle like an atom bomb
Soaking and felling everything in it's path
And welling in my heart like a birdbath
>>68642183
>I GUESS WE'LL JUST HAVE TO ADJUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUST
so many 10/10 moments on that album
if you listen to Tame Impala you are a nu-male redditor and need to get the fuck off of this board
