Do not, under any circumstances, if that is indeed your first guitar, go for the GIO or Jackson or B.C Rich. Or the LTD.

If it is your first ever guitar, go get a Fender Acoustic for $300. Don't go out and buy a guitar with an advertised super flat neck and blazing speed-metal guaranteed shit.
