>implying a 'logo' isn't just the brand's name
I have a new band and the singer wants to make a logo.
It would feel cringe as fuck to have one. What do you guys think?
Also, we dont play metal.

Stylize your band name and slowly turn that into a logo, don't just make an outright logo it has to be organic.
>>68624259
i'd say this is good advice actually.

>the charts say dubstep is what's selling!
I was playing for some girls today and I played non top 40 and I walked over to make sure they could hear everything fine and hey we're looking at me all disgusted and were like "I don't like this, no" and I said okay I'll change it. So I do and I keep changing it cause it doesn't feel right and eventually they leave. I learned that I'm just gunna do what I like, cause if k don't people get this sense of entitlement like "What do you mean no dubstep?" "ARE YOU SERIOUSLY SAYING I CANT PUT ON SOME DRAKE?"
I think it's best I give no leeway what so ever, people were happy when I played the stuff I liked. Even when I got crazy and played really deep stuff to make them think. Cause I was doing it for me, not for them. I didn't care if it chaps he'd them intellectually, I just wanted to see how much sense I could put into their heads before they'd literally ask me to leave.

I mean I don't want to do this all the time, I understand the limits and it's not always fun to push them. But I don't want to be a personal iPod player.
