that was a common line for any group before the eighties, the deads rendition of in the pines, zepplins since ive been loving you, and i know jimi used it in more than one song.

But on topic, the doors became vilified near the end. Morrison thought he was the most influential person of the century and would lash out at the audience whenever he felt things werent going right. But there live stuff was pretty great. Their jazzy maggy McGill is refreshing, their renditions of mystery train and summer time are cool even if they are just rehashes of there other songs. My only complaint about the band is kriegers lack of experimentation live.
