well you're probably right in assuming that a lot of people that say they like noise rock will be pretending, but the majority will only stick with and explore it if there is something about it they enjoy.

personally, I enjoy certain releases from some artists, but a lot of it just feels lacklustre. could have been impressive, but falls short.
