Hi /mu/
I've recently been getting into Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians and Robert Ashley's Automatic Writing. Previous to this I've been listening to mostly jazz and rock and shit so this is all somewhat new to me. Are there any more albums like this that are suitable for plebs/nice to listen to?

What do you consider as intellectual music?

Not gonna harp on the stupidity of the term "intellectual music" because I get what you're trying to say. Bill Evans Trip - Waltz For Debby does not really fit stylistically with the music you asked about, but it does "turn me on" in an intellectual way (as well as emotionally/physically) so I'm going to recommend it anyway. I'll also recommend John Adams "A short Ride in a fast machine" and a more obscure favorite would be "And the darkest hour is just before dawn" by Daniel Schmidt

I was using the term ironically because of people who think they're intellectual for listening to music like this

I think this would be a good starting point, although it is kind of a slog to get through all 13 hours
