Well it depends on what you mean, are you just talking about screaming vocals or the cringey genre Screamo like Brokencyde /ISMFOF /BMTH that kind of shit? cos there are a lot of regular metal bands that use screaming vocals and do it well besides System

>>68590976
Any form of screaming disinterests me.
SOAD did it a few times on their first album which is...probably why I don't like their first album that much.

I don't know why they did those vocals anyway since their regular singing is fantastic.
>>
funk carioca
>>
Worst genre is possibly metalcore or mid 2000's pop punk

>>68591005
Kpop ain't a genre but those groups are cancer
>>
>>68591032
damn i mean i think SOADs first album is their best but whatever...
>>
>>68591076
And that's fine, I have no intention of making people not like it. I can understand why you do, there's some good stuff on there,

I just prefer their other stuff (especially the later stuff where Daron got to sing more).

No hate at all :)
>>
>>68591003
those terms aren't mutually exclusive, but you already knew that
>>
>>68590587
What a dumb thing to say. Someone doing something badly doesn't make the format shitty--it just means that person is bad at music. The nice thing is you don't have to listen to the shit stuff, making them entirely irrelevant.
>>

>>68591020

>>
>>68590826
>>68590826
I think this song was a joke more than anything

Thing that Rhyme with Orange and Sex Ed Rocks are pretty killer desu senpai
>>
>>68590557
Happy Hardcore was fucking great from it split off from Jungle up to about 1996/7 when it lost the breakbeats and became a cheese-y parody of itself. Yeah, it got pretty bad by the end, but in its day it was well good. Don't believe me listen to this: https://www.mixcloud.com/Chrissytrax/my-year-of-mixtapes-week-49-golden-era-happy-hardcore/

Worst genre in my opinion is Tech House, because its fucking boring, even when its meant to be really good its still fucking boring. Alright, if you drop a couple of tech house tracks at the beginning of a techno set to build up from thats fair enough, but an entire tech house set, ewww, a whole night of tech house? eugh...

I'm not a big fan of pop punk, late period grunge, or screamo.

Chap-hop is obviously a piss take and not meant to be taken seriously. I'd always assumed the same thing of Brokencyde, like they are doing the same thing as MSI a generation on and a are bit more obnoxious but basically tongue-in-cheek? You can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Turntablism is the art of manipulating sounds and creating music using turntables and a DJ mixer. Turntablists generally prefer direct-drive turntables over belt-driven or other types.

John Oswald described the art: "A phonograph in the hands of a 'hiphop/scratch' artist who plays a record like an electronic washboard with a phonographic needle as a plectrum, produces sounds which are unique and not reproduced—the record player becomes a musical instrument."[2]
Some turntablists use turntable techniques like beat mixing/matching, scratching, and beat juggling. Some turntablists seek to have themselves recognized as traditional musicians capable of interacting and improvising with other performers.

hmmmm, interesting perspective friendo.
>>
>>68592981
Depends what you mean by 'good' really. but there is country that is just simple, pared down singer-songwriter stuff that draws on the traditional rhythms and melodies of the American traditions syncretion of the various European folk traditions that preceeded them. Its also important to know about if you are interested in the history of guitar-based music or popular culture in general in the 20th century, Blue Grass was one of the original genre's of Popular Music, the first wave of rock and roll in the 1950s was basically an evolution of country through its fusion with Mississippi delta R&B, and from that you have Skiffle, the Beatles, Stones, psych, hard rock, and nearly everything else.

If you're a pure technoist or whatever that's going to mean fuck-all to you probably but I think one ought not to overlook the value in things just because they're not quite to one's personal tastes.
>>
>>68592999
Turntablism is an aquired taste, I can see why some people don't get it but its hard not to respect the level of skill involved in it.
>>
Grindcore
Pornogore

Anything that is barely distinguishable from these genres, anything thing with the "Pig Squeal" vocals.

The three on this list I've heard tracks from (DJ Shadow, Kid Koala, and DJ Kentaro) I like.

>>68593953
There's a lot of really bad aggrotech that takes itself way too seriously and the scene is dying on its arse because nothing new or interesting has happened in it for nearly ten years so its definitely a contender. I used to be well into this stuff and I swear its not all terrible, but I do cringe at it as it is now.
