I've been on /mu/ for 2 years and have never seen xtc mentioned until a resurgence for the past month. What gives?

I had never heard of them before I came here. Honestly /mu/ showed me most of the 80s music i listen to. i didn't listen to any 80s music before because i thought it was all trash.

Why didnt they get more popular? All of their songs are very catchy.
