The issue here is not whether or not Kanye actually got approval from Taylor, the issue is when the song came out and Kanye tried to defend himself by saying he ran it by Taylor, she threw Kanye under the bus and denied any sort of conversation took place at all, which is honestly quite disingenuous. Taylor tried to make herself look totally blameless. What she SHOULD have done was admit that Kanye did run most of the song by her and she was cool with it, but was surprised and disappointed with the lyrics about him making her famous. But of course she wouldn't do that because playing the victim is how Taylor Swift makes bank.
