The more I think about it, the more I realize that Weighing Souls with Sand is the album I'll kill myself to. I used to think it'd be Lift Your Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, but that album usually ends up making me feel hopeful.

Some of it's pretty damn sad but the witty, funny songs like Frankly Mr Shankly or The Queen is Dead keep it from being full on wrist slitting music. Most of their lyrics have a real black humor to it.

Now Joy Division's Closer, on the other hand, that's just straight morbid depression. In a great way.

usually when I think of suicidal music I consider more mellow, melancholic stuff, but I think this fits the bill on the opposite end of the spectrum. just pure hopelessness, frustration, and inner rage channeled through a 7-minute EP.
