I need a dedicated 1080p youtube downloader that works.

whew lad,
some music is unavailable in good quality anywhere but youtube, and I want the best quality mp4 video possible for best results after encoding with ffmpeg. Why would I download 720p HD when I could get 1080p, with a significantly better audio stream?
The main problem now is that YouTube wants to block IP's downloading official music at 1080p, so this program would need to be a sort of workaround for that.

You need to differentiate between the audio bitrate and video bitrate. And yes, YouTube's audio bitrate on 1080p video isn't higher than on 720p.
