Why do people on here hate this?
I don't though, I think it's some of their best work
because NOTM is better

Yep. WABGL, Pss Pss, TPTB, Beyond Alive, On GP. All great songs.

It compliments NOTM very well and is why TPTB is my favorite album of all time.
/mu/ will call me a pleb but in 20 years time TPTB will be hailed as Death Grips' greatest release. There's so much meat to it it's ridiculous.

I like this and Money Store
I'm not fond of Ex-military though

It's their best work and ON GP is their best song. Faggots on here just overhyped the fuck out of it before release so when it actually dropped it couldn't possibly live up to their expectations.
No one here is saying much of substance.
I wasn't crazy about it probably for the same reason a lot of people love it: the emphasis on rock music with the increased presence of guitars and complimentary songwriting that focused on that over the electronics which got them popular.
I think it's a really good balance and it's a decent album, but there are weak songs throughout and I, personally, did not enjoy the experimental rock sound as much as the electronics on NLDW for example.
2bh I didn't like On GP. The first four tracks on JD are great but the rest is pretty eh. Which is pretty disappointing considering the amazing consistency of NOTM.
For the amount of hype it had, it had to be an absolute masterpiece. Instead it was a completely new, guitar-heavy direction that didn't really work so well. It's a pretty good album, and had they dropped it out of nowhere or with less hype, it would have a much better reputation.

only newfags and numales hate it
real taste patricians know it's top tier
>>68565733
It's their best album, just the perfect synthesis of everything they'd been up to for the last few years.
JD=NLDW>BP>Exmil>TMS>>>NOTM>>GP
still not convinced TPTB Is anything more than a joke, the albums don't really belong together
I like JD. I like it more than NotM. In fact, NotM is my least favorite Death Grips release.
Fucking shoot me

I thought that at first but after a few listens I now think it's one of the most revolutionary album since Sgt. Peppers.
That sonic explosion at the end of Big Dipper is like the piano note in A Day in the Life.
>>68565733
some people dont like the guitars and prefer electronics
>>68567022
I love NOTM because I love Bjork and I like when MC Ride does a non yelling delivery
>>68565733
because its just as bad as all the other death grips garbage thats out there
