The music in Shock Treatment was pretty amazing
Plz no bully
I'm not going to say it's the best, but I really like Dr. Horrible
Guys and Dolls
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes - 8 part harmony is actually pretty good once you have it in your voice
Titanic! - Beautiful modern melodies - its a shame the settings are so high so lower voices suffer
Carousel or Oklahoma for R&H
Street Scene if you consider it a 'musical.' the line between operetta and musical is pretty blurry for me tho
But i think the best will be westside for its depth of character. the emotional punch of 'i have a love' is really poignant when you hear it in the right voice.

Why do people keep calling Rocky Horror a guilty pleasure?
It's genuinely Rocking.
Since we're talking about RHPS, any opinions about the remake?

Sure as fuck isn't this one. The point of the musical is that it's campy and dumb and that includes the music.
West Side Story, most Sondheim musicals, and Les Mis are easily the only real contenders for best musical in terms of score.
Little shop of horrors is the patrician choice
