You could form quite a psychological profile with this information. I spent a lot of 16 - 18 drunk, miserable, and occasionally crying. Then I went crazy and became numb.

Just so we're clear, I've never "cried" to music, that's almost comical, but I have shed tears and gotten very emotional.
Alice in Chains - Nutshell
Sweet Trip - Come to Me (one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard)
Wild Books - Walk of Shame
Radiohead - Most of Kid A (Got wasted and just kind of sat in my room and listened to that until I passed out)
Zedd - Clarity (not joking, a little embarrassing, I know.)
Slowdive - Alison (I was pretty high)
I think that's it

Just once when I was really drunk. First heard it on the 14th of February. Someone I really cared about died in a car accident exactly fifteen years prior, so it wasn't the music so much as the date + the alcohol, but it was definitely amplified by the music if that makes sense.

Very rare that a song makes me cry. Usually it only happens in a piano piece.
I cried to the original, ironically, but I think the alternate take is stronger.

I know it's a weird song to cry to (it was more just strong tearing up, no sobbing - I can't cry.) but I was in a state of emotional turmoil when I heard it. It wasn't sorrow driving me to tears, it was euphoria. Actual euphoria, not atheist fedora bullshit - a joy so overwhelming that I didn't know how to handle it.
I've only felt happiness that intense one other time, and it involved psychedelic drugs. Which is funny, because that was how it felt the first time too.

that song helped me get through a breakup. actually ween did in general. The music is silly enough to cheer you up, but sometimes its just so deep and heavy it can make you break down.

"How To Disappear Completely" by Radiohead
>I'm not here

This song is the only song that can make me feel like the most miserable and insignificant and unloved person on earth.

This piece mimics the feelings of waking up from a dream in which you were loved and happy, if only in a dream.

Confusion - Vic Chesnutt
anyone got some good recs for stuff like the first one besides lsd march and fushitsusha.

Let me guess... "Daydreaming" and "True Love Waits"
A Lot Like Birds - No Nuture
Makes me sad, reminds me of the emotional distance between my dad and I
A Lot Like Birds - Hand Over Mouth, Over and Over
Reminds me of the tumultuous ending of a past relationship

Same anon her songs (especially this album) are filled with such emotion. Even if they're not necessarily sad, it still gets me emotional. I'm jealous she played Cosmia live at your show she didn't for mine :(

Alvin Row is an almost guaranteed cry from me. Brother Sport also, though I know it's not really sad, it just makes me feel so emotional, the kind of emotional you feel deep in your chest. Yeah I'm a faggot I know.
