Underrated compared to the other movies in the trilogy imo, It has much more of a romantic-period sound to it. There are few Williams pieces that have such a classic feel like Burning Homestead or Princess Leia's Theme do.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I don't think it's underrated. A lot of music in later episodes is based on tracks from this movie. Also, I think most of the music in Star Wars games comes from A New Hope.

One of the few sci-fi movies worth watching. My favorite sci-fi movies beside the Blade Runner are 2001: A space odyssey, Ex Machina, Her, Gattaca, Minority Report and Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Out of those, I'd say that 2001: A space odyssey has the most memorable soundtrack, even though it wasn't written for the movie itself.
